Soothing, Gentle, Comforting
Ear candling is an alternative therapy that is used to draw out impurities and wax from the ear. Ear Candling or Ear Coning is believed to be an ancient practice. Many cultures considered coning a spiritual practice for clearing the mind and senses.
The basic premise of Ear Candling is that the spiral of the cone causes the smoke to be pulled down into the ear canal. This causes the ear canal to warm up and loosen the wax and any other material. As the Candle burns down, it creates a slight suction thus removing wax and moisture from the ear.
People with existing tympanic membrane perforation should
not try ear candling.
Meet the Practitioner
Cynthia learned how to Ear Candle people from the University of Bridgeport, School of Naturopathic Medicine.
Cynthia’s son suffered from severe allergies as a child causing him constant ear and sinus infections. His pediatrician suggested Ear Candling as a way to reduce the pressure and pain he was feeling in his head and face. Although skeptical, she found a clinic to preform Candling. Almost immediately her son felt relief and there was a visible difference in his face as the swelling had gone down. She still Candles him seasonally.
Not all people experience Ear Candling the same way. Cynthia’s son was greatly helped by the process. Others have not had the results they desired. It is a procedure worth experiencing. If done correctly, Ear Candling is a wonderful complimentary alternative treatment.
Ear candling is available by appointment only.
